This 2024 year, Ghanian Sculptor Artist Kumi Samuel will create Nat Turner Sculpture with the assistance of the Turner Legacy families and JuneteenthVA. The Sculpture will travel and students around the globe may take part in this process with the final place in Portsmouth Virginia. The goal is to utilize Art to show how we are all connected and we may heal as a community when we stand united. Nat Turner was a Passionate Visionary Leader who believed in Freedom for all. He is a National Hero.
